Bol: kite spot summary
The kite spot of Bol is located on the island of Brac, in Croatia. To get there, you have to take the boat from Split (45min).
The wind is quite light and the water is flat, allowing for a relaxed freeride session. However, the beach is quite small (about 25m long) and it can quickly become crowded.
Please note that the water area is restricted or even prohibited in July/August. Make sure to check before booking your accommodation. Also, the beach is not free (10€ per launch…).
Pros: an ideal spot for families (beautiful location, you can swim…)
Cons: not the easiest or most convenient spot for kiting.

As this spot works on a thermal wind regime, the windguru statistics are inaccurate as they do not take thermals into account. On a spot that works by thermal, on cloudless days, a few knots can be added to the basic forecasts. In general, we get winds around 12-15 knots in the afternoons, which increases the wind statistics in the summer months to about 60-75% kitable days.
