Diani Beach: kite spot summary
Located 40 km south of Mombasa, the spot of Diani is characteristic of the spots in Kenya: a white sandy beach, super flat water at low tide and a decent wave on the reef one kilometer from the shore.
The beach is not large (about a hundred meters long) and becomes quite small at high tide. Watch out for coral blocks at low tide, as the depth can be limited at high tides.
You will find everything you need for sleeping and/or eating in Diani.
Pros: super flat water – boardshort navigation – ideal for mixing safari in the country and kiteboarding
Cons: limited space, especially on the beach – limited depth at low tide
Note: Beware of “beach boys”. Threaten to call the police if necessary.
