Poe: kite spot summary
About 170 km north of Nouméa on the West coast, Poé is a spot for all levels and easy to access: no need for a boat to get there!
An immense beach stretching for several kilometers, a shallow lagoon with seagrass and sand bottom, and regular onshore wind: in short, a little paradise, whether for freestyle or kiteboarding lessons.
One word of caution: the spot only works between mid-tide and high tide.
Pros: easy access – flat water – boardshort navigation – turquoise lagoon
Cons: does not work at low tide (check before going!)
Note: It takes about 2 hours to reach Poé from Nouméa / there is a campsite and dining options on site (+ some kite schools).
