Beach club Moorea: kite spot summary
Located in the Northwest of Moorea Island near the town of Hauru, Beachclub offers paradise-like conditions for kitesurfing: a beautiful white sand beach, a turquoise lagoon, flat water, and two small islands in front to add to the beauty of the setting. The spot works best with a Northeast wind (the most common).
And after the session: don’t forget to bring your masks and snorkels to swim with the rays that populate the seabed!
Pros: turquoise lagoon – the island is small so distances are short
Cons: isolation – unpredictable wind
To reach Moorea, the ideal way is to take the ferry from Tahiti Island: it will cost you around 8€ for a half-hour crossing. It’s more difficult to bring kite gear on the plane…
The island is very small, so you can get around by bike or scooter.
Moorea is a relatively isolated island in Polynesia, so it will be difficult to find repair kits on site, and don’t count too much on the nightlife either!
