Cumbuco: kite spot summary
The kite spot in Cumbuco is one of the most famous spots in Brazil, many pro riders come here to train during the winter.
Cauipe Lagoon (located 7-8 km downwind from Cumbuco) is a real playground! The water is smooth, the spot is super flat, and the wind blows between 20 and 35 knots every day.
You can also kite in front of the guesthouses in the village, at Duro Beach.
The village of Cumbuco is quite lively: lots of small local shops, bars, and restaurants, a friendly atmosphere…
NB: There can be a lot of kites in the water, including many locals and pros. To avoid the crowds, it’s better to kite before noon even if the wind can be a bit more unpredictable.
