Taiba: kite spot summary
The kite spot of Taiba is located approximately 90 kilometers north of Fortaleza, between Cumbuco and Paracuru.
The spot is slightly less famous than its neighbors even though the conditions are also perfect, which makes it significantly less crowded than Cauipe lagoon.
Taiba is a versatile spot as the village provides access to both a super flat lagoon (to the north) and the waves breaking on the coast. It is a must-visit among Brazilian kite spots.
The lagoon is great for taking your first lessons and for freestyle, but it attracts a lot of people, especially local youngsters who will impress you with their skills!
As for the waves, they can reach 2 meters and are perfect for surfing even without a kite when the wind is not too strong.
And finally, besides kiteboarding, Taiba is also a nice little village where you will find a warm welcome and a true local life around the fishermen’s square.
