Trois ilets: kite spot summary
The kite spot of Trois Ilets is in the bay of Fort de France, to the west of Martinique. The trade winds are stronger at this spot because they accelerate over the plain of Lamentin before rushing into the bay. However, this also makes it a bit gusty.
The sailing area is immense and allows for great slalom or freeride navigation. The spot is reserved for experienced riders as the wind is offshore once you pass the point and there are many obstacles.
For beginners accompanied by a school, sailing in the open sea is ideal. If needed, inquire with the schools on site to do supervised sailing.
