Coco Kite Colombia is a small-scale International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO) center run by a team of experienced enthusiasts.
The center was established by Coralie, a French woman who fell deeply in love with Colombia. Coralie and her team are delighted to welcome guests to the Caribbean coast, specifically in Mayapo, known for its stunning white sandy beaches.

The center is conveniently located about 40 minutes away from Riohacha airport. Moreover, it serves as a gateway to other kitesurfing spots located further north in the region such as Cabo de la Vela and Punta Gallinas. Coco Kite Colombia regularly organizes kite trips to these two pristine spots.

Kitesurfing conditions in the area are ideal, with wind speeds ranging from 20 to 35 knots. The wind direction is mostly side-onshore, although it can occasionally shift to side-offshore. In such cases, kitesurfing activities are moved to a flat lagoon located 15 minutes away from the main spot. The kitesurfing season extends from December to September. However, the months of October and November are not recommended due to the rainy season.

Coralie and Victor, another key team member, prioritize customer service and the sharing of experiences. They will assist you in arranging your accommodations and transportation, share interesting anecdotes about the local culture, and help integrate you with the kitesurfing community in Mayapo.
