Attention, to embark on such a journey, an intermediate level in kite is required. This means being completely autonomous, knowing how to go upwind and downwind, being able to navigate toeside on both sides.
The idea is to be able to change stance during navigation, because 40km with support on one leg can be tiring.
For the start of this downwind, Freeride Kitesurf meets you in Sao Miguel Do Gostoso, 1h30 from Natal.
- Day 1 to 3: discovery of Sao Miguel Do Gostoso, and the different spots around during mini day downwinds.
- Day 4 and 5: first big downwind between Sao Miguel and Galinhos, then the next day in Galinhos to enjoy the village and its spots.
- Day 6 and 7: downwind from Galinhos to Macau, night and then day in Macau for a good kitesurf session.
- Day 8: downwind towards Ponta do Mel from Macau, and evening in Ponta do Mel
- Day 9: downwind from Ponta do Mel to Tremembé
- Day 10: kitesurf day in Icapui
- Day 11: Transfer to Natal airport for the end of the stay.
Important Information
During this type of trip, equipment repair can be complicated. It is better to bring at least 2 kites, with 2 bars, as well as some spare parts, especially for board accessories.
It is important to remember to bring sunscreen, as you will spend many hours in the water in a region where the sun is strong. Each group is accompanied by one or two guides in the water during the downwinds to guide and ensure the safety of the group.
