Who will take care of you ?
Kite Control, it is a school present on the Obidos spot for many years, so much so that it has a great experience. With its team of instructors, they are committed to sharing their passion, and helping their students progress thanks to a well-honed pedagogy. The added bonus is that they offer various accommodation options to provide a complete and friendly kitesurfing experience.
What awaits you
The kitecamp offered by Kite Control at the Obidos spot is a sporty and friendly stay to learn or improve in kite. You will be welcomed upon your arrival by François’ team, to discover the place.
You will then discover the beauty of this quite wild spot, nestled between Portuguese villages. You will enjoy this first day to rest before starting the action.
The next day, you can start your day quietly with breakfast at Bica Lagoa, a restaurant not far from your accommodation, with a small view of the Obidos lagoon.
The wind generally picking up in the early afternoon, you will have the opportunity to explore the surroundings in search of pretty viewpoints.
Once the wind picks up, it’s time for the more sporty part!
The first kitesurf session is dedicated to the first learnings: the wind, the equipment, the safety, and the first handling of the kite.
Then, we increase in intensity. With Kite Control, we learn step by step: Body dragging to understand the power of a kite, Body dragging to know how to swim in all directions and recover your board, first water starts, and first runs.
The goal of the week is simple: to make you autonomous in kitesurfing!
Apart from kite, Kite Control offers other activities to discover the region.

Accomodation
Kite Control welcomes you to one of its kitehouses located near the Obidos spot. These adventure villas close to the beach offer many facilities.
Adventure Villa 1: Barbecue, wifi, kitchen, social spaces, garden and terrace, this villa can accommodate up to 7 people. This villa offers several room options: Double room, triple room, or twin room. Prices range from 40€/night to 49€/night depending on the season.
Adventure Villa 2: Barbecue, wifi, kitchen, social spaces, garden and terrace, a swimming pool for those who feel like relaxing after a good kitesurfing session. This villa can accommodate up to 8 people. The options offered for this villa are: dormitory bed (4 available, from 22 to 32€/night depending on the season), and 2 private suites from 55 to 69€/night.

Price formulas
The kitecamps are 100% custom.
You can choose your length of stay, the number of hours of lessons, and the type of lessons you want (private, semi-private, beginner, improvement).
For a complete beginner, I recommend a one-week stay with at least 12 hours of lessons.
Private lessons allow you to have a monitor focused on you throughout the lesson, it is ideal for faster progression.
Semi-private lessons are lessons with one monitor and two students who share a kite. These sessions will be more friendly and ideal for learning with a friend.
