Who will take care of you ?
Kite Control is a school present at the Obidos spot for many years, and has opened its center in Moledo in the north of Portugal, which is a very good alternative to Viana do Castelo.
With their team of instructors, they are committed to sharing their passion and helping their students progress through a well-established pedagogy. The added bonus is that they offer various accommodation options to provide a complete and friendly kitesurfing experience.
What awaits you
The kitecamp offered by Kite Control at the spot of Moledo is an ideal stay to learn or improve in kiteboarding in a friendly atmosphere.
You will be welcomed upon your arrival by François’s team, to discover the surroundings. It will be an opportunity for you to feel the atmosphere of this charming seaside village.
The next day, you can start your day calmly with breakfast in the village or at the guest house. As soon as the wind picks up, it’s time for a bit more sporty part! If you are an experienced rider, you can either ride on your own, or ask Kite Control for improvement lessons: waves, freestyle, jumps, everything is possible.
If you are a beginner, a whole program awaits you.
The first kitesurfing session is dedicated to the first learnings: the wind, the equipment, the safety, and the first handling of the kite.
Then, we increase the intensity. With Kite Control, we learn in stages: Body dragging to understand the power of a kite, Body dragging to learn how to swim in all directions and recover your board, first waterstarts, and first runs.
The goal of the week is simple: to make you independent in kitesurfing!
Apart from kitesurfing, Kite Control offers other activities to discover the region.

Accomodation
In Moledo, you will have several accommodation options: Kite Control offers two apartments in the village of Moledo.
Located a few minutes walk from restaurants and the beach, their location is ideal for gathering with family or friends for a kite stay.
There is an apartment for 4 people with two bedrooms: between 100 and 130€/night depending on the season
The other apartment can accommodate up to 6 people with 3 bedrooms: between 120 and 150€/night depending on the season
The second option is the guest house. A kitehouse that promises a friendly stay close to the spot, in the company of other kitesurfers who have come to discover Moledo. Single, double, triple rooms or even a place in a dormitory, there is definitely an option that will suit you.

Price formulas
The kite camps are à la carte. You can choose your length of stay, your number of course hours, and the type of course you want (private, semi-private, beginner, advanced).
For a complete beginner, I recommend a one-week stay with at least 12 hours of lessons.
Private lessons allow you to have a dedicated instructor throughout the duration of the course, which is ideal for faster progression.
Semi-private lessons are with one instructor and two students who share a kite. These sessions are more friendly and ideal for learning with a friend.
