Why kitesurfing in Congo is a good choice ?

The Congo is a country in Central Africa, south of Gabon, Guinea, and Cameroon, and north of Angola. It is a completely landlocked country, with only a tiny part bordering the Atlantic Ocean.

A completely atypical destination and off the radar of kitesurfers, I obviously do not recommend a 100% kitesurfing stay at this destination.

Best period and spots to kite in Congo

In terms of kiteboarding, if you ever find yourself in the area (you never know, it could happen), know that you can sail near Pointe Noire (500 kms from Brazzaville, the capital) on a double spot (flat in the Djeno lagoon and big waves on the ocean side). In this case, you’re guaranteed to be alone in the world!

The best season to go kiting in Congo is from October to February. It’s the rainy season there but generally it only rains at night. The climate in this location is a savannah tropical climate, with mild temperatures all year round.
