Why kitesurfing in Saint Barthelemy is a good choice ?

Saint-Barth is another perfect island in the Caribbean, surrounded by a large turquoise lagoon and white sandy beaches. It is located north of Guadeloupe, close to Anguilla and Saint Martin.

Only 24 square kilometers in size, and inhabited by fewer than 10,000 residents, it is highly sought after for its superb landscapes and tranquility (there are fewer people than in Saint-Martin). It is one of the last islands preserved from beachfront construction.

However, the winds remain light and there are not so many kite spots in Saint-Barth, so it is not purely a kitesurfing destination! You will be comfortable there if you want to mix kite and rest, if you go with your family for example…

Best period and spots to kite in Saint Barthelemy

The East coast is the most suitable for kite surfing, especially the spot at Grand Cul de Sac. Apart from that, there aren’t really any others.

Best season (for kiting): December to April. The trade winds blow on this island, giving rather light winds.
