Les Salines: kite spot summary
The kite spot at Les Salines is located on the east of Guadeloupe, on the road from St Francois at Gosier. It is the closest spot to Pointe-à-Pitre (the main city and airport). It is an ideal spot for kiters who already have a good level: the beach is quite narrow and the launching area is in the middle of coconut trees (be careful not to get your kite stuck!). It is a good spot for flat water and turquoise sea, great if you are independent. Watch out for the coral reef that can be exposed. Be sure to observe it in advance.
