Pranburi: kite spot summary
The kite spot of Pranburi is located 20 km south of Hua Hin (on the peninsula that extends south of Thailand) and is ideal for kiteboarding and wakeboarding!
Pak Nam Pran beach is a good spot for all levels, from beginners to advanced. Everyone will find something to do on this long 7 km beach.
The water and conditions vary depending on the seasons:
from October to January, the water is choppy and the wind can reach up to 30 knots (beware of the monsoon that persists until October).
from February to June, the water is flat with sandbanks that are exposed, making it ideal for learning.
from July to September (monsoon season), wind conditions are more unpredictable and often offshore.
Pran Buri is a good place for kiting and enjoying Thailand. However, watch out for jellyfish, it’s better to wear at least a rash guard.
