Silver Sands: kite spot summary
It sails south of the island of Barbados, on the side of Silver Sand and Silver Rock. It’s a bit off the beaten path, 10 minutes from Oistins and the coast on that side is quite rocky.
There are roughly 3 spots: Silver Sand (small beach, the last one you can access if the wind drops), Silver Rock, the main beach with schools and most of the kiters, and Long Beach a little further east (larger and wilder).
The big advantage of this place is that you ride in turquoise, translucent and warm water with turtles (and that’s awesome).
The sea is really good, the spot is secure and there is almost no danger for kiting. You have a sandy beach to take off and land on and plenty of space to pump up, which makes things enjoyable!
