Your adventure in a glimpse
Santa Veronica is a town on the Colombian Caribbean coast. The wind blows regularly there between December and May, and there are access to a multitude of spots around the town. You will meet Ska and his team from Kite Explorer, a certified IKO school. The goal they have successfully achieved over the years is very simple: to make their students independent while respecting a pedagogy for safe progression. Depending on the weather conditions and your level, the most suitable spot will be chosen for the day’s lesson to optimize your progress. The team takes you from Santa Veronica or Salinas del Rey in a tuk tuk to the spot. With your instructor, you will learn kitesurfing step by step:
- Understanding the wind, equipment, and safety
- First handling of the kite to understand how to control your kitesurfing
- Learning to swim with your kite in all directions to master its power, and to search for your board
- First waterstarts, first sensations of gliding and…. first falls!
- Navigating on both sides for several hundred meters
- At this stage, you have probably caught the bug, you will have a hard time giving up this sport…

Managed by Olivier and Vanessa, they provide a personalized experience for clients, including accommodation options and kitecamps. Their aim is to offer a holistic experience for glide enthusiasts in Tarifa.

Price formulas
These kitesurfing courses are aimed at beginners. The price of kitesurfing lessons is 50€/h, and there is a 10h package for 450€.
If you are a complete beginner, and you want to become independent, the 10h package is perfectly adapted, and you can add more hours afterwards if you want.
If you have already taken some lessons, but still need help to become completely independent, then the hourly package is the best option for you.
If you need accommodation, Kite Explorer offers accommodation in one of the rooms of its kitehouse. Don’t hesitate to ask them.
