The Obidos lagoon is a superb Portuguese kitesurfing spot. Nestled between two villages, it’s the perfect opportunity to learn kite on a wild spot. Once there, Léa and Marco will meet you according to the conditions to start or continue your learning according to your level. IKO school, the learning that Marco will provide you with is very methodical in order to lead you towards autonomy in complete safety.
- With a kite in your hands, the first lesson is rather theoretical and practical. It’s about knowing the equipment, the wind, and safety. Then, it’s time to practice with the first handling of the kite.
- Once you master kite control, you will experience its power by learning to body drag. An essential step to become an independent rider.
- By the third lesson, you will be ready to do your first waterstarts (and take your first falls). It’s a challenging moment as you have to manage both your kite and your board.
- By the fourth lesson, you will be able to cover a few dozen meters on each side, and experience real gliding sensations.
- You will feel more and more comfortable as you progress, on your way to autonomy!
