Kitesurf at Prea

The kite spot of Prea is located north of Fortaleza (at least 4 hours by road) and just a few kilometers south of Jericoacoara.

It is a quiet fishing village for those who love peace and wild coasts.

Like the Brazilian Nordeste, the spot stretches for kilometers and kilometers of white sandy beach, swept by strong and regular side-onshore winds (slightly stronger than in Jeri actually), from July to February.

Prea is a versatile spot: if the water is flat at low tide, it gets quite lively at high tide to finally offer some beautiful waves at high tide. There is something for everyone, and even for all levels since the beach has no limits and the wind blows onshore!

In short, Prea is a purely kitesurfing destination at the other end of the world, and just a stone’s throw from Jericoacoara which can be reached by kite via a fabulous downwind.
