Bois Jolan: kite spot summary
Bois Jolan kite spot is the reference spot in Guadeloupe: a large turquoise lagoon, where you can almost always touch the bottom… Located at the exit of St Anne towards St Francois, it is by far the safest spot on the island.
Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced, you can easily navigate there. You can also take lessons there if you are just starting out. The takeoff is easy and everyone can evolve peacefully. Otherwise, some waves break on the reef at the bottom, so enthusiasts take note.
There can be a lot of people during high season, so try to sail during off-peak hours (as soon as the wind picks up, in the late morning).
It is preferable to have a car to get there, even if some buses serve the spot…
