Why kitesurfing in Venezuela is a good choice ?

Venezuela is a dream destination for kiteboarding: turquoise water, steady wind, incredible landscapes… A trip to this location requires a minimum amount of time (at least 2 weeks) as the journey is quite long and tiring. But it’s worth it!

The political situation in the country is somewhat unsettling, which is the major downside of this destination. To reach the Venezuelan islands, it is necessary to find transfers that avoid spending the night in Caracas, in order to go directly to El Yaque or Los Roques.

Best period and spots to kite in Venezuela

The main spots are on the islands of Margarita El Yaque and El Coche. While both are worth a visit, the former has managed to remain more authentic despite its development.

Los Roques is also a major kite destination in Venezuela, where you can find a strong and constant wind blowing over large translucent lagoons.

It is also possible to go from one island to another to test the different spots, it is a region that lends itself well to cruises.

The best season for kitesurfing is from December to May with months having over 80% chance of having kiteable wind.
